L.F.T (Love Fist Tears) is a Hamburg based, dread fuelled electronic act that combines hard synths with dancy drums and glitchy rhythms. The songs can both fill you with euphoria but also enduce your deepest anxieties through a cocophony of noises.
Opening up this album is a track called 'I want to be a witch'. This is the first track I heard by the producer. It draws you in straight away with a distorted kick and snare rhythm that really sets the tone for what's to come.
'No More Tears' is what I would imagine Molchat Doma would sound like if they found some new experimental drug that made them a bit more erratic.
Perhaps the highlight of this release is a song called 'Panzer Tanz'. This one almost feels like you've been sucked in to the matrix and are whirring round helplessly. The laser like synths dance on top of a blocky and hypnotic drum beat. The vocals on this one really stand out as the strongest and loudest, really resembling a more modern post punk vocal style in the same vein as bands such as Idles for example.
It's a really interesting, enjoyable and at times difficult listen but I would highly recommend it to anyone who is in to their more gothic tinged music.
