Love Is Noise - Memento (Review)

Love Is Noise twist and turn through a number of styles in their music and blend all elements seamlessly. Memento is no exception. This tracks contains shoegaze elements with the dreamy guitars and vocals, intermittent hip hop drum breaks and even breaks in to a full on death metal blast beat at points! It's hard to pin point exactly who you could compare this song to, however, what I can say is that those who are a fan of older Deftones music will be a big fan of this. Piercing vocals spike through solid rhythmic riffs and drum beats before flickering between ethereal atmospheres. It's a really interesting sound that bounces between one extreme and the other, yet still manages to retain a true accessibility to the mainstream. Memento feels like a song that could really attract fans from all corners of music and represent a real turning point in this bands' trajectory. Rating 4/5
