This week see's the first EP from West Midlands outfit Sierra drop and it's a really promising one at that. Consisting of 3 tracks Lose the Feeling, Decomposure and Bury, it's a record that blends together noughties sounding vocal hooks and driving rhythms with really catchy and interesting guitar riffs! With a rawness of the likes of Title Fight, Basement, early Citizen etc. you can really feel the energy radiate. The syncopated math rock sections on the likes of Bury set a platform for the melodic sections to burst through from, not feeling detached at all, but instead having each section compliment each other strongly, a real mature ability from such a young band. It's a really good sophomore effort from the group which sets them up to springboard on to define a really strong sound for themselves going forward. Rating 4/5
