Venom. Channelling the likes of Chimaira on this track, Year Of The Knife have just dropped their third single from their upcoming album and it's a noisy, angry, loud bundle of venom.

The song starts with a high energy, fast paced Slayer-esque thrash section but don't let that fool you. At the drop of a hat (or a China cymbal in this case around 25 seconds in) you get blind sided by an evil sludgy riff accompanied by some demonic vocals over the top of it. After a minute or so or of being thrown from side to side, the song drops you in to a chuggy tormented bridge which you can't help bring out the stank face to. Once the dust settles, you're brought back for another go around the catchy chorus before ending off. Give this a go, you won't regret it. Rating 4/5
